It is a great summer destination if you want to chill out and relax. An escape away from work, stress, pollution, noise, and the list goes on!
"Malapascua Island has the charm that many have so often wished to find in a tiny isolated beach paradise. The beach bungalows nestled in between the locals' homes makes you feel like you have really left the western world behind."

If you would like to tour around Malapascua, you can hire a motorcycle (no cars can be found in the island) for php150 and enjoy the narrow roads! haha. We had our first stop at the lighthouse. Too bad I was too lazy to trek and missed the fun.
While heading to our next stop, this part of the island took my attention. The sea was crystal blue & the rock formations were just perfect.

Then we went straight ahead to Bantigue beach. I love the sand! It was different from the rest of the island. Less people can be found in this area.
The last stop was their chapel located at the barrio. As Ironic as it may sound, right beside the chapel is where the mini party or "disco" will be held.
Where to stay
We stayed in Malapascua Budget Inn for a night and we had an awesome experience. Their staff were very friendly and accommodating. Though the rooms are not fancy but it is well maintained, you can use their kitchen facilities to cook and prepare food, you can also have karaoke or movie nights in their local gathering area. The room rates are very practical to stay and enjoy the island life. It was accessible enough to the market and a 4-10 minute walk to the beach front.
An overnight stay wasn't enough for me to do all the things on my checklist. However, it gave me a hint that I should be back and hopefully do all these:
[•] Tour around the island
[•] Relax on the beach
[ ] Diving
[ ] trip to kalanggaman island
[•] Lazy walk along the bounty beach
[•] Eat halo halo
[ ] have a beach massage
[ ] trip to Gato Island
[•] Watch sunrise/sunset
[ ] disco
[ ] bar hopping
